After a number of years working in pensions and investment planning, it became obvious that a huge and largely untapped potential existed in using computer analysis as an aid to financial planning. This also allowed far more effective tailoring of solutions to meet each client's ultimate financial needs and objectives. Being dissatisfied with the systems available, Steve Patterson - Managing Director of Intelligent Pensions, set about developing his own. Since then he has designed a range of applications to simplify and manage many of the most complex financial problems. Describing his business as "financial engineering" this approach has also enabled many highly technical areas of pension planning to become truly client focused. Out of this vision the concept of Intelligent Pensions was born.
